07.11.09 "Still the One"

We've finally finished our study on the Theology of the Body and it's time to tackle our next subject. Each week, we'll be looking at one teaching of the Catholic Church and breaking it down.

We'll give a basic catechesis (teaching), points for evangelization and apologetics, and draw from the Cathechism of the Catholic Church, Sacred Scripture, the Saints, the Church Fathers, and current events.

This week, our topic is: Truth.

It's time to understand the "why" and the "what" of what we Catholics believe.

06.27.09 Finish Strong

The finish line is finally in sight for our study on the Theology of the Body: Freedom to Love. In fact, our last meeting (on this topic) will be this coming Saturday Night.

We'll  take one more night to discuss how to apply all we have learned to our daily lives and relationships.

Remember, the Theology of the Body is meant to take us to the stars, to make us want to genuflect, and to make the invisible mystery of God totally and completely visible: everywhere

See you Saturday!

03.14.09 Me for Me

On 02.28.09, we continued our discussion on "Freedom to Love: Applying the Basics of the Theology of the Body to Everyday Life, Love, and Relationships." We learned that love requires one righteous super power.

This week, we'll look at what, exactly, we love about a person. And, more importantly, we'll look at what makes them unrepeatable.

Here is the OLOP|YA Sneak Peek for this week.

02.28.09 Never Gonna Give You Up

On 02.14.09, we continued our discussion on "Freedom to Love: Applying the Basics of the Theology of the Body to Everyday Life, Love, and Relationships." We learned that besides saying "Yes", we also have to say "So long, self. " when it comes to love.

This week, we'll look at what that means. And, more importantly, we'll look at how we can do it.  Here's a hint: it involves one righteous super power.

Here is the OLOP|YA Sneak Peek for this week.

02.14.09 So Long Self

On 01.31.09, we continued our discussion on "Freedom to Love: Applying the Basics of the Theology of the Body to Everyday Life, Love, and Relationships." We answered an important question: "What is love?"

This week, we'll ask another important question. Since we know what love is, besides saying "yes", what else do we have to say, before we can find it?

The answer? "So long self.

Here is the OLOP|YA Sneak Peek for this week.

01.10.09 "Yes"

On 12.20.08, we continued our discussion on "Freedom to Love: Applying the Basics of the Theology of the Body to Everyday Life, Love, and Relationships." We saw how society's definition of love and freedom are pretty darn close to "addiction".

This week, we'll look at how God's relationship to us, is one that requires freedom. So, let's look at the "value" of a "yes".

Here is the OLOP|YA Sneak Peek for this week.
